Inspect gathering tools
Compare the next clearing option in the game. Pitchfork and Dynamite are reported tools, but their effects should not be treated as identical speed multipliers.
Compare gain per purchase
Read actual prices and buy a useful affordable improvement. This site does not supply an unverified upgrade-price ladder.
Make a fair before-and-after test
- Empty the bag and choose a repeatable patch-to-cow route.
- Time the gathering portion until the bag fills. Divide capacity by those seconds to estimate hay per second.
- Time the separate selling round trip, including the return to gathering.
- Enter both measurements in the upgrade planner. Compare a capacity increase with a gathering-speed increase separately.
- Check the current upgrade prices in game and re-time your run after buying.
This test focuses on hay moved per minute. It cannot predict where the needle is or guarantee a completion time. Special hay, other players, animations and tool-specific behavior can change the result.
Pitchfork, Dynamite and class effects
Forkmaster is reported to improve Pitchfork collection and reduce its upgrade cost. Demolitionist is reported to improve explosive clearing. Those connections make the class menu relevant to your tool choice, but a benefit on paper is not an instruction to spend every Gem chasing a particular class.
Pack Mule’s carrying role is different: it may help when travel interrupts collection. Hay Merchant addresses sale income instead. Compare your current setup first, then use the class-spin planner to understand what a reserved Gem budget actually buys.

Two common mistakes
Capacity gives little improvement
If selling travel is already negligible, a larger bag may barely change throughput. Compare gathering speed instead.
Both upgrade options look the same
Check that you changed the proposed multipliers and entered separate gathering and travel times. An equal result can also be a valid outcome of your measurements.
If an upgrade feels ineffective
Time the same route before and after. A bigger bag helps repeated selling trips; faster gathering helps a long fill time.
Common mistake
Do not compare two runs with different routes or buy using an unverified price from a guide.
