Search For The Needle Starter
Search For The Needle Starter: No bonus reported. Reported class-roll chance: 40%. Check the live Classes card before spending Gems.
Establish a baseline before you spin
Starter has no reported bonus, which makes it a useful baseline for measuring one collection-and-sale cycle. Time a full bag and a selling trip separately. Keep those observations before changing class or equipment so you can tell what actually improved.
A starting role does not prevent progress. If the bag fills quickly and the trip takes much of the cycle, compare Pack Mule; if gathering is slow, examine your Pitchfork before spending a Gem reserve.
Getting Starter
Starting role and reported spin pool. The selected menu guide reports 40 Gems per spin. Read the current Classes card before confirming any spend: update reports can change the price, effects or available results.
The probability overview includes Starter among eight results, while an older menu article describes seven possible rolls. This unresolved difference is why these chances are labelled reported. Your live menu takes priority.
A fixed-budget probability example
The table assumes independent attempts at the reported rate with 40 Gems per attempt and no pity system. It is a calculation, not a promise or a measurement of the game.
| Attempts | Gem cost | At least one target |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 40 | 40.00% |
| 5 | 200 | 92.22% |
| 10 | 400 | 99.40% |
| 25 | 1000 | 100.00% |
Use 1 − (1 − p)n, where p is the probability per attempt and n is the attempts you can afford. Keeping a reserve lowers the attempt count. Previous misses do not change the next attempt in this conditional model.

Questions players ask
How do I get Starter?

Is the roll chance guaranteed?
No. The 40% figure is a dated editorial report. No pity rule or independent-spin guarantee was verified.
Should I replace a useful class?
A starting role does not prevent progress. If the bag fills quickly and the trip takes much of the cycle, compare Pack Mule; if gathering is slow, examine your Pitchfork before spending a Gem reserve.
